AIC Insurance offers a long term insurance product which underwrites sick absenteeism for employers. In order to manage and understand this risk, a system was developed and offered to clients in order to reduce their sick absenteeism rates and therefore also reduce the costs (claims rate) to the insurance company. Where the system was introduced effectively the claims rate reduced by as much as 40% over the medium term resulting in large direct cost savings for the insurance company and even larger direct cost savings for the employers.
